The Agbar Tower, one of the city’s emblematic buildings participating in the Christmas lights of Barcelona City Council.
The Agbar Tower joins in with the Christmas lighting of the City Council with a spectacular illumination in which the animations of the star and the Christmas tree will offer a light and colour display which will be combined, every five minutes, with a static image of the characteristic Christmas tree. The Christmas decoration will be lit tonight, between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m., coinciding with the beginning of the lighting of the main streets and shopping districts of Barcelona, and will last throughout the holiday period, until 6 January 2014. The timetable for the special Christmas lighting of the Agbar Tower will be as follows:
From Sunday to Thursday, from 6 p.m. to midnight.
Fridays and Saturdays, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Special days: 24, 25, 31 December and 5 January, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Days with other special lighting during the Christmas period: 25 November, 1, 10 and 31 December.
With this initiative, the Agbar Tower continues with its calendar of special lighting that it wants to offer the citizens of Barcelona, coinciding with various significant dates. The next one will be on 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. On this occasion, the Agbar Tower will be lit up in purple between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.
The Agbar Tower was moreover lit up in the UNICEF blue colour yesterday to commemorate Universal Children’s Day and show solidarity with the situation of millions of children worldwide who are experiencing serious difficulties for their survival and protection.
