The Agbar Foundation has presented a programme of four grants for the training programme ‘Circular Economy: from Waste to Resources and Energy’, starting in January 2018. The grants, which cover 50% of the cost of enrolment, aim to boost professional development in the field of environment and waste management.
Recipients of the grants must be university graduates that have been offered a place on the course and who have expressed their intention of paying the cost of enrolment on the programme themselves. The application period is from 17 July to 4 December. The grants, each worth 700 euros, cover 50% of the cost of enrolment.
All candidates interested in applying for a grant should provide the following documents:
- Cover letter, with information on their socioeconomic conditions

The programme ‘Circular Economy: From Waste to Resources and Energy’ is organised by the UPC School in conjunction with the company SUEZ Spain. It is taught by lecturers at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya-BarcelonaTech (UPC) together with experts from SUEZ Spain.
The course prepares professionals in the technical field to work in:
- Waste treatment research centres
- Companies in the renewable energies environmental sector
- Associations and institutions in the waste and circular economy sector
The candidates awarded the grants will be announced on 10 January 2018. The results will be communicated by phone or email to everyone who presented an application. Until then, the Agbar Foundation reserves the right to withdraw the grants or to modify their terms and conditions.
