With the aim of supporting the education of young people with limited financial resources, the Agbar Foundation will award scholarships to a maximum of seven young people so that they can carry out university studies. The Agbar Foundation will grant the scholarships and the Confederation of Residents’ Associations of Catalonia (CONFAVC) will be responsible for analyzing the candidatures in order to determine which students receive them through the Aula Actual neighbourhood programme which works with secondary education schools. This is the content of the agreement signed between Ignacio Escudero, in representation of the Agbar Foundation, and Jordi Giró, as representative of the CONFAVC.
The “Young Talents” scholarship programme is intended to encourage the educational development of people with talent, but without sufficient financial resources. The scholarships are specialized in the fields of digital transformation, innovation, sustainability and social development.
The young people who are awarded the scholarships will obtain the full payment of the registration and up to €1,500 for associated personal expenses.
The courses funded can be taken at the following institutions: University of Barcelona, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
In order to be able to access a scholarship, the academic record, the socio-economic situation and the personal motivation will be analyzed by requesting relevant information and holding in-depth interviews.
Collaboration between the Agbar Foundation and the CONFAVC Foundation
The “Young Talents” scholarships arise from the collaboration between the Agbar Foundation and the CONFAVC in order to help the most vulnerable groups of society, each within their sphere of action.
